English Tuition in Ang Mo Kio

One English journey, from Primary 1 to O-Level

English is not a subject a child crams the year before an exam — it is a skill built layer by layer. Our English classes follow one continuous pathway: creative writing and grammar foundations from Primary 1, exam craft for the four PSLE papers in Primary 5 and 6, and essay, comprehension and summary skills through secondary school. A child can join at any point on the ladder and stay on it.

Lower and middle primary (P1–P4): foundations and creative writing

Grammar, comprehension, vocabulary and composition taught through clear techniques and modelled writing — with creative writing from Primary 1, in small classes. Children learn to write because they have something to say and the tools to say it, not because a template forces them to.

Primary 5 & 6: PSLE English

All four PSLE English papers — writing, language use and comprehension, listening and oral — with the specific answering craft each paper rewards. Bright children rarely lose marks for weak English; they lose them for not answering the way the paper is marked.

Secondary: English & Creative Writing continues

Essay writing, situational writing, comprehension and summary through Lower and Upper Secondary — taught with the same modelled-writing approach, at O-Level standard. See the Secondary programmes.

How are the classes run?

Small groups — up to 1:6 for primary English and never more than 1:8 — because writing improves when someone actually reads and coaches every draft. We serve families across Ang Mo Kio, Bishan and Yio Chu Kang from our centre at Blk 709 Ang Mo Kio Ave 8.
