First Principles - Physics Tuition

O-Level Physics: Stop the Tuition Treadmill. Start Scoring.
Many Secondary 4 students attend extra classes, complete many assessments, and study hard, yet their grades remain stuck at a B or C.
If your child understands the concepts but cannot score well in exams, the issue is often not effort but strategy.
Addressing the 3 Biggest Physics Challenges
“1. My child studies hard, but the grades do not improve.”
Problem: Many students memorise question types. When the examiner changes the scenario slightly, they become unsure because the question looks unfamiliar.
Solution: Knowing Language of Physics "the ABCs".

2. “My child knows the concept but cannot explain it clearly.”
Problem: Marks are often lost because students miss the key terms examiners expect, even though they understand the idea.
Solution: Whole-Brain Visualisation and Learning

Students learn to visualise concepts using simple analogies. Once they can clearly picture forces, fields, or motion, they learn structured ways to explain answers using the precise keywords required in examinations.
3. “There are too many notes. My child does not know where to start.”
Problem: Thick school notes and practice papers can overwhelm students, causing them to spend more time organising than learning.
Solution: The First Principles “Mission” Method
The entire syllabus is simplified into essential concepts.

- Apply to a challenging past-year question
This approach turns a large syllabus into a series of clear, manageable steps.

*Level 1 ~ 3 will be replaced by AI soon and only level 4 learners will likely survive.
Teacher Jiabin
A Solid Academic Foundation
As an SM1 Scholar and Yale-NUS Graduate, I have mastered the most rigorous academic systems — from Singapore's O/A-Levels to the IB and IGCSE curricula at Mindlab. I scored A1/A in O-Level Pure Physics and H2 Physics, giving me deep command of the MOE syllabus from the ground up.
The "Self-Directed" Advantage
Having moved to Singapore at 15, I had to teach myself how to excel in a completely new education system. These "mastery of learning" skills are exactly what I pass on to my students — empowering them to find answers independently, a skill that lasts far beyond the O-Levels.
How I Teach Differently
→Building Your Scientific Brain
We dive deep into the rigorous logic and mathematical precision of Physics — bite size with fun and progressive manner.
→Whole-brain learning
I use analogies, visual storytelling, and creative problem-solving to make abstract concepts like Kinematics or Atomic Physics feel intuitive and real.
Track Record
6+ years of experience across elite schools (RI, ACSI) to private candidates. Coached through the complexities of Physics and Math, spanning O-Level, IB, and IGCSE curricula.
